Judge Rules New Mexico Schools Are Failing And It's The State's Fault

A state judge ruled on Friday that the state of New Mexico has failed, for years, to provide its public schools with enough money to provide an adequate education. Huffpost reports that this deficiency is a violation of the state's constitution, which promises to provide a sufficient and uniform education system for all students. Over half of New Mexico's public high school juniors cannot read on a grade-level, and the state has the lowest high school graduation rate in the nation.
