Researchers have developed new screening methods to detect hundreds of chemicals in the blood at one time. The methods offer promise in better assessing chemical exposures in pregnant woman. According to UPI, researchers at the University of California San Francisco successfully screened for 696 chemicals in a study and found an average of 56 environmental organic acids in the blood of pregnant participants in San Francisco.
