According to Reuters, Russian President Vladimir Putin will not be invited to address the Congress during a visit to Washington D.C.
Republican congressional leaders added that Putin will not be invited to visit the Capitol building, should he accept President Donald Trump's invitation to visit the White House later in the year.
House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell made it clear that Putin is not welcome on Capitol Hill.
