U.S. Senate and House reach agreement on $716 bil. defense policy bill
  • 6 years ago
The U.S. Senate and the House of Representatives have reached a final agreement on the 2019 National Defense Authorization Act.
Media outlets report the seven-hundred-16 billion U.S. dollar bill prohibits any budget planning which could reduce the number of U.S. forces in South Korea to less than 22-thousand unless the U.S. Defense Secretary confirms the decision after consultations with Seoul and Tokyo.
The bill has to pass the full House and Senate,... and then be signed by President Trump to become law.
