Drivers stranded in flash floods as severe storm hits northern Greece

A severe storm battered Thessaloniki city in northern Greece causing flash floods and traffic disruption.

The footage, captured yesterday afternoon (July 24), shows drivers struggling to move up a road as a torrent of water hits them in the opposite direction.

The weather split Greece into two halves as the north experienced heavy rains whereas a heatwave caused deadly fires in the south.
