Michael Cohen's loyalty to President Trump may be wavering, with Axios reporting that the president's former personal attorney has "been more openly questioning Trump's fitness to be president."

The outlet's Jonathan Swan says a source close to Cohen told him: "It's one thing for him [Cohen] to be concerned about his suitability to be president. It's quite another thing to be concerned about his [Trump's] loyalty to his country."
What reportedly prompted these doubts were the controversial comments Trump made in Helsinki where he seemed to accept Russian President Vladimir Putin's denial about meddling in the 2016 election despite the U.S. intelligence community concluding otherwise.
According to Swan, his source close to Cohen told him the lawyer was "sending a public signal" when he tweeted: "As I said to @ABC @GStephanopoulos, 'I respect our nation's intelligence agencies who determined that Russia, had in fact, interfered or meddled in our democratic process. I repudiate Russia's effort...and call on all Americans to do the same.'"
And three days later, Cohen tweeted about the freedom of the press, writing: "As we contend with the crazed 24/7 news cycle, it has never been more important than it is now for everyone to distinguish between innuendo and fact."
These comments seem to indicate growing friction between the president and Cohen, whose office and other locations were raided by the FBI earlier this year.
Among the items seized were said to be secret recordings Cohen made while talking with Trump about paying off a former Playboy model, notes the New York Times.
In response to this news, Trump posted a tweet on Saturday.
"Inconceivable that the government would break into a lawyer's office (early in the morning) - almost unheard of. Even more inconceivable that a lawyer would tape a client - totally unheard of & perhaps illegal. The good news is that your favorite President did nothing wrong!" Trump wrote.
