The forest department in Junagadh district rescues a crocodile from Amrapur village in Maliya-Hatina taluka of Junagadh district.

According to forest department officials, they were informed by the local residents of Amrapur village that a Crocodile was spotted in Anil Kadiyar's farm.

"As soon as we received the information, we rushed to the spot and rescued the Crocodile from farm. We brought Crocodile to Sasan animal care centre and we will soon release in the natural water soon'' said forest department officials.

According to local villagers, since the natural water points have dried up in and around village, Crocodiles come out from its natural habitat to other areas. "Due to rain deficiency, all natural water points like Lakes, Rivers and other wetlands have dried up which forced the Crocodiles to migrates some other places'' said Ramesh Karia, a villager from Amrapur.
