Funnel Cloud Sighted Outside of Altoona

Multiple funnel clouds were sighted moving through Altoona, Iowa on Thursday, July 19.This footage shows a glimpse of one of the funnel clouds swirling behind Altoona’s Adventureland Drive.The National Weather Service issued a tornado watch for parts of central Iowa on Thursday, including Des Moines, which is about 8 miles west of Altoona, warning that hail was also possible in the region.
