날씨: 초복, 폭염특보 더 강화

Hello, I'm Michelle Park here with the latest weather update. The heatwave alerts have been in effect for more than a week and today is Chobok in Korea, which marks the start of the hottest period of the year. And without a doubt, it's hot as an oven here and more places across the country are under heat warnings.

Tomorrow is also sunny in Seoul while Beijing has more rain. So, if you are in Korea and are stepping out even for a second,... make sure to gear up with sun protection because the UV levels are extremely high.

It will still be hot in the morning on Wednesday. Seoul beginning the day at 24 degrees Celsius, with temperatures similar elsewhere.

The mercury will rise quickly as the day goes on, Seoul reaching 34, Gwangju and Daegu way hotter at 36 and 37 degrees respectively.

With sunny skies every day, the heat just builds day after day, so by next week, it's going to get hotter. And the forecast shows that this heatwave is expected to last for the rest of this month, and if there's no rain, it may linger until next month.

I'll leave you with the weather conditions around the world.
