The Omaya Sports Club amputee team is made up of those injured during Syria's seven-year civil war. The team is based in the final rebel-held province of Idlib in the country's northwest. Many of its players have lost limbs in reported Syrian and Russian airstrikes. The players and their coach,  Abu Hassan, say the game helps rehabilitate players both physically and psychologically.
