Several Dead After Election Rally Bomb Blast In Pakistani City of Bannu

At least four people were killed and over 30 injured after a bomb detonated at an election rally in the Pakistani city of Bannu on July 13.Another blast on the same day in Mastung, near Quetta, killed at least 65 people, including Balochistan Awami Party leader Siraj Raisani, according to Pakistan’s Express Tribune.An election candidate and former housing minister, Akram Khan Durrani, was the target of the Bannu blast but escaped unharmed, according to Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty. This footage shows injured people brought inside a building by stretcher and with assistance from others.The explosions in Bannu and Mastung came three days after a bomb targeted an Awami National Party (ANP) campaign event in Peshawar, killing at least 21 people including ANP leader Haroon Bashir Bilour, according to local media.The election is due to take place on July 25.
