India expect high scoring ODI series against England

India are hoping to take valuable experience from their upcoming one day international series against England. Not only will the three-match series allow India's players to test themselves against an in-form world number one-ranked side, but they'll also be playing in the sort of British conditions expected during the 2019 Cricket World Cup. India come into the ODIs having claimed the Twenty20 series with England 2-1, but the 50-over form of the game could offer an even sterner challenge. England dominated Australia across five ODIs last month, including notching a record setting 481 innings runs when they played at Thursday's venue Trent Bridge. "We've noticed the last series that they played here was high scoring games and this very ground was where they (England) scored 480 runs," said India batsman Rohit Sharma. "I'm expecting nothing else but a high scoring series as well." India are in the middle of an almost three-month long tour of England with a five Test match series to follow the ODIs.
