Trump Pardons Oregon Ranchers Who Sparked Standoff

According to a report by Reuters, two Oregon ranchers whose convictions sparked the 2016 armed occupation of a wildlife refuge were to due to return to their homes on Wednesday, after being pardoned by United States President Donald Trump. The 41-day standoff, which turned deadly when police shot and killed one of the occupiers, marked a flare-up in the long-running dispute over federal land policies in the US West.
