Croatia Stuns England to Reach World Cup Final Croatia has reached the World Cup
championship after a 2-1 victory
over England. The winning goal was scored in extra time by Mario Mandzukic in the 109th minute
of play. It's Croatia's third straight win in overtime this World Cup. England has not reached the World Cup's title game since it won the tournament back in 1966. Up until now, Croatia only had a tournament-best semifinal in 1998 to its name — one game away from winning it all. Croatia will now play France in the championship match on Sunday in Moscow.
