Lonely Planet names Korea's southern city of Busan as No. 1 place to visit in Asia this year

Korea's southeastern city of Busan has been named the best place to visit in Asia by Lonely Planet.
The travel guidebook ranked the city top of its '2018 Best in Asia list'... lauding its (QUOTE) "stunning confluence of scenery, culture and cuisine."
It highlighted Busan's picturesque beaches and Buddhist temples sitting on hilltops.... as well as its vibrant cultural events,... from street art festivals to traditional dance shows.
Saying that Busan offers something for everyone,... the guide also recommends travelers feast on the wide selection of fresh seafood at Jagalchi,... Korea's largest fish market.
The Lonely Planet list introduces 10 places in Asia each year.
Uzbekistan and Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City came in second and third, respectively, on this year's list.
