Warner Bros. Want to Build Aerial Tramway to Hollywood Sign The company proposed the “Hollywood Skyway” as a solution to resident complaints. Residents near the iconic sign have blamed it for traffic, parking issues and disruptive tourists. The aerial tramway would cost $100 million and transport visitors to and from the Hollywood sign. It would give visitors a way to see the sign without driving and hiking through neighborhoods. Warner Bros. facilities head Jon Gilbert said the project would take about five years to complete. “If we really want to make a difference ... it's got to be something compelling. Partial solutions are not going to do the trick, and people will continue to inundate the neighborhoods.” This could also help bring tourists to Warner Bros.
