Starbucks to remove single-use plastic straws by 2020
  • 6 years ago
Starbucks is joining a growing movement by companies to ditch plastic.
The coffee shop giant announced Monday it would eliminate single-use plastic straws from all of its stores globally by 2020.
Instead, it will use straws made from other materials and recyclable lids that are designed to not need straws.
Starbucks joins the likes of McDonald's and Dunkin' Donuts which have made similar plans to be more environmentally friendly.
