Trump Says New York Times And Washington Post Will Be 'Out Of Business In 7 Years'

President Trump on Saturday took another aim at the New York Times and the Washington Post.

President Trump on Saturday suggested that some media outlets will "be out of business in 7 years," presumably because he thinks their audience will decline after the end of his presidency.
"Twitter is getting rid of fake accounts at a record pace. Will that include the Failing New York Times and propaganda machine for Amazon, the Washington Post, who constantly quote anonymous sources that, in my opinion, don't exist - They will both be out of business in 7 years!" Trump wrote on Twitter.
This is not the first time the president has gone after these publications.
Last month, Trump encouraged the Washington Post's employees to go on a "really long strike" to "get rid of Fake News."
"Washington Post employees want to go on strike because Bezos isn't paying them enough. I think a really long strike would be a great idea. Employees would get more money and we would get rid of Fake News for an extended period of time! Is @WaPo a registered lobbyist?" Trump tweeted.
The president's message came after more than 400 Post employees released an open petition to owner and Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos asking for "fair wages; fair benefits for retirement, family leave and health care; and a fair amount of job security."
This public dispute seemed to have given Trump new ammunition with which to attack the Washington Post and Bezos.
Trump tweeted in April: "The Washington Post is far more fiction than fact. Story after story is made up garbage - more like a poorly written novel than good reporting."
