Clueless thief limps away after crashing car against tree

This is the moment a thief crashes a stolen car against a tree and runs away limping.
The incident occurred in Bangalore, India, on June 24.
Prakash, a resident of the Annapoorneshwari layout of the city, woke up in the early hours of the day to the sound of someone trying to start his car and rushed out along with his son.
They saw a thief stealing the vehicle and raised a loud alarm.
Prakash said: “I shouted ‘thief, thief’ and the neighbours woke up and came out.”
The car thief panicked and scampered to get away. In his rush, he failed to take a steep curve and crashed into a tree.
“The area has several dead-ends and sharp right-angled turns. He was not familiar with the roads and lost control,” said Prakash.
CCTV footage shows the thief getting out of the car in a daze and running away limping.
Prakash got his car back and local police are now looking for the thief.
