Govt had spent Rs 16 Lakh for high tea when BS Yeddyurappa took Oath as CM inside glass House of governor's office. Oath taking Ceremony lasted only for 5 mins. Meanwhile, Karnataka CM, who wanted to cut down on unnecessary spending on the renovation of govt offices and also asked DPAR Dept not buy new cars for legislators, had spent Rs 43 Lakh for the oath taking ceremony which lasted for only 5 mins. This fund was spent only for the decoration and high tea in Vidhan Soudha. Excluding the hotel stay and air travel of the high profile guests of the event.
