A soft coup has taken place in the land of Ayub, Yahya, Zia and Musharraf. The perpetrator is the new Army Chief Bajwa. He hasn't occupied the presidential palace, but has ensured that the capital remains Rawalpindi and not Islamabad. Nawaz Sharif has been arrested and debarred from polls at the end of this month. As has his daughter. He's no great holy man, but represents the civil face on Pakistan that has challenged the army. Incidentally the same man removed by Musharraf's army coup. Now, the road is clear for Imran who's own ex-wife has claimed that he's an army proxy. An army in power in Pakistan always has one thing on its mind. More terror and more targeting of India; what should we be aware of and what should we do. That's the debate, here's what's happened.
