Eddie Hearn on going head to head with Frank Warren

Eddie Hearn is not expecting to have to go head-to-head with Frank Warren on a regular basis as they both stage shows this Saturday night.

Hearn’s Matchroom company are at the Barclaycard Arena in Birmingham, for a bill that will be shown live on Sky Sports.

Hometown hero Kal Yafai defends his WBA world super flyweight title at the top of the bill, while Sam Eggington challenges Ceferino Rodriguez for the European welterweight crown.

Warren’s card at the First Direct Arena in Leeds has the city’s own Josh Warrington taking on Kiko Martinez and the pro debut of Olympic gold medalist Nicola Adams.

That will be broadcast on BoxNation and BT Sport, as all entities jostle for position and television viewers. Hearn was talking to Seconds Out reporter Craig Birch.
