Ohara Davies: Boxing needs a character like me!
OHara Davies believes boxing needs characters like him after stepping onto enemy turf at the Leicester Arena tonight.

Davies has raced to 15-0 with 12 TKOs in the super lightweight division and finished the career of Derry Mathews in his last fight.

The 25-year-old is one of the top prospects with Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing and took some stick for it at Frank Warren’s BoxNation show.

Davies came to watch his friend Anthony Yarde win by first round stoppage and not to watch the British title fight between Tyrone Nurse and Joe Hughes at his weight.

He’s adamant people really love his brash persona rather than hate it, as he talked confidently to Seconds Out reporter Craig Birch.
