Good morning, sweltering heat engulfed most of the country yesterday... walking outside for couple of minutes was enough to make you sweat. Heat will ease today with monsoon showers.
Talking about the heat first, most parts saw lows in the thirties and the burning sunshine and high humidity made it feel hotter than the actual temperature, expect the mercury to be 2 to 7 degrees coolers today.
Monsoon rain in inland regions will bring slight relief from the heat. Seoul will see rain from around lunchtime and it could come down quite heavy... have your rain gear ready.
Morning lows are similar to yesterday, ranging from 21 to 23 degrees Celsius.
22 degrees in Seoul, Busan and Chuncheon.
Highs in most parts will be in the mid to upper twenties, topping out at 29 degrees in Seoul and Daejeon, a little warmer in Gwangju at 30 degrees.
