CCTVs in the Delhi neighbourhood where 11 members of a family were found dead in their house on Sunday has captured some of the preparations for what now investigators believe was a ritual that turned fatal.

CCTV footage from a neighbour’s house shows two women members of the family, Savita and her daughter Neetu, bringing in stools to the house at 10 pm on Saturday.

Fifteen minutes later, 15-year-olds Dhruv and Shivam are seen fetching cables from the family’s plywood shop. The six stools and cables were among items used by the the family to hang themselves, said a police investigator who asked not to be named.
