The outgoing leader of the National Democratic Congress sought to make it abundantly clear that he was not being pushed out by anyone, and also assured his membership that he had not given in to, “the mischievous and arrogant designs of the NNP leadership to see him removed as NDC leader at any cost.”

Meantime, the winds carried news of the resignation to the Hermitage Government School where the New National Party had an ongoing general council meeting also.
