What Is Vulture Culture? Inside The Subculture Of People Who Love Dead Animals

An entire online community, which some call Vulture Culture, has sprung up around the hobby of processing and collecting dead animals (and sometimes dead humans). Veterinarians, artists, jewelry-makers, collectors, photographers and entrepreneurs all find use and interest in carcasses, stripping and cleaning their bones, tanning their pelts, and cherishing their remains. This video shows taxidermy pieces by Katie Innamorato, known as Afterlife Anatomy online, along with diaphonization work by Mark Breen-Klein, known as Beakers and Bones online. Music: Bobby Cole 'Funky Chops'
