The UNHCR said on June 28 that refugees who were sheltering in areas at high risk of landslide at camps near Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh were able to relocate to emergency shelters , following weeks of flooding.The shelters were built by the UNHCR and the international NGO, BRAC.This footage shows newly built shelters on flat land near Cox’s Bazar. Kevin J Allen, UNHCR Head of Operations for the Rohingya refugee emergency, is heard speaking throughout. He says the emergency shelters were the result of a couple of weeks of work.He says the work ensures refugees living in high risk of landslides were able to relocate to safe, level ground.
