Large wildfire breaks out in Northern Ireland

  • 6 tahun lalu
A massive wildfire was ignited on the Glenshane Pass in County Londonderry, Northern Ireland, in the early hours of June 25. The footage filmed at around 6 pm the same day shows large plumes of thick smoke rising up in the sky. Local media reported that the blaze, consisting of five separate fires, came on the hottest June Day in Northern Ireland since 1995. The UK heatwave and dry weather has put the countryside at a high risk of devastating fires, with a fire on Saddleworth Moor in Greater Manchester already in its third day of burning.
