Heavy monsoon showers to continue in southern regions _ 062818

Good morning. Heavy monsoon showers are pouring down in southern coastal regions... so let's take a closer look.

A monsoonal front is soaking southern parts of the country dropping 30 millimeters rain in an hour. Parts of the Jelloanam-do and coastlines along Gyengsangnam-do Provinces are seeing torrential rainfall.

Heavy rain warnings have been issued in those regions while the rest of southern coastal regions are under heavy rain advisories including Busan.

Up to 150 millimeters of monsoon showers could come down, the central regions could see passing showers, Seoul will see sporadic rain in the evening, have an umbrella handy for your evening commute.

Temperatures will be similar to lower than yesterday, lows are kicking off at 22 degrees in Seoul, Busan and Gyeongju while Jeju will see showers today as well.

Highs in Seoul, Jeju will be at 28 degrees, southern regions will notice highs 1 to 5 degrees lower than yesterday, Gyeongju, Daejeon, Daegu will get up to 27 degrees.
