According to a report by Reuters, Jared Kushner, President Donald Trump's senior advisor, said that Washington would announce its Middle East peace plan soon, proceeding with or without Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas. Kushner reportedly told Palestinian newspaper Al Quds that he doubted whether Abbas was willing or even able to seal a deal.
