According to a report by Reuters, the US House of Representatives approved a massive farm bill on Thursday which makes changes to the government food stamps program that make it unlikely to become a law in this form. The Senate is reportedly considering its own farm bill with no major changes to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, otherwise known as SNAP, which over 40 million Americans rely upon. The 867 billion dollar farm bill was passed by the House in a 213 to 211 vote.
