ED to probe hawala transactions, will Congress President Rahul Gandhi disown this too

Two days the IT registered 25 page memorandum of Complaint against DKS in the special court, sources have told NewsX that the IT has now written to Enforcement Directorate to investigate hawala transactions carried out by the Cabinet minister. If the ED pursues the case, there is more and fresh trouble for the Congress heavyweight who successfully stopped the BJP from proving majority in the recently concluded assembly elections by safe keeping 78 Congress MLAs from being poached by the BJP. Even as the IT is aggressively progressing in the unaccounted wealth confiscated during multiple raids spreading even to Delhi, the IT investigators claim that they have nailed the case as for as 8.5 crores cash stash in a Safdarjung enclave in Delhi. While experts suggest that it will be long drawn legal battle for the IT department, the ED has provisions to arrest and interrogate the accused in hawala case. Sources said the ED might land at DKS’s house anytime and that the IT has filed a watertight case in this regard.
