Kate Spade Foundation to Donate $1M to Mental Health Kate Spade New York aims to help support suicide prevention and raise awareness on mental health in tribute to the late founder. $250,000 will go to the Crisis Text Line, which is a 24-hour free text message service for people in crisis. Between June 20 and June 29, the company will match public donations made to the service. As part of its wellness program, the company will also host a Global Mental Health Awareness day for its employees. The announcement comes weeks after Spade was found dead at 55 after committing suicide in her New York apartment on June 5.
