Another incident of transgender harassment has come to light. Suchitra Dey, a teacher from Kolkata was asked some inappropriate questions during a job interview in a school. She was asked if she can bear a child and if her breasts are real. Suchitra changed her name from Hiranmay Dey after undergoing sex-reassignment surgery in 2017. Even though the Supreme Court has legally recognised transgender as a third category of gender, such incidents continue to surface from time to time. Suchitra exclusively spoke to NewsX.
