Emergency Stop Button Could Have Prevented Dreamworld Deaths

A Detective told the court that the stop button could have halted the ride in two seconds.
The female operator had been told during training "not to worry about the button."
There was also a main control panel nearby with a “slow” stop button.
During the accident, she signaled to the main control panel to use the “slow” stop.
Senior Constable Steven Cornish said that the main button might have prevented the deaths.
