Ivan Duque Is The New President Of Colombia

Right-wing candidate Ivan Duque won a clear victory in Colombia's runoff presidential election. Duque, a protege of former president Alvaro Uribe, won 54 percent of the vote. He celebrated his victory by making a call for unity in the country. The former economist and first-term senator said the peace agreements signed with the FARC in 2016 need to be modified.
