Non-ICT exports fell on-year for third consecutive month in April

Korea's exports of information, communications and technology products or ICT... jumped 10-point-9 percent on-year in April,... but other exports nosedived.
According to the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.... and the Ministry of Science and ICT,... Korea shipped 32-point-8 billion U.S. dollars of non-ICT products in April...., down 7 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
Non-ICT exports also fell zero-point-eight percent on-year in February,.... and zero-point-two percent in March.
It's the first time since July of 2016.... that non-ICT exports have fallen for three consecutive months.
Hyundai Research Institute says.... the nation's exports are heavily dependent on the ICT sector,... and that it should try to reduce this dependency.
