Singer Barry Manilow has been forced to cancel the opening shows of his new residency at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, Extra reports. Manilow has been hospitalized with a bronchial infection. The 74-year-old says in a statement to People magazine, “I can’t believe this is happening. Our new show is ready, we’re all ready, and we were all looking forward to tonight.” He is expected to make a speedy recovery and will most likely be released from the hospital in a few days.
