Michael Cohen lost a bid for an immediate restraining order against Michael Avenatti for maligning him frequently in media appearances.
In a brief court order, US District Judge James Otero denied the restraining order because Cohen failed to show he would face immediate and irreparable injury without emergency relief from the court.
But Judge Otero did not reject the restraining order either.
