Comcast has offered $65 billion for Twenty-First Century Fox media assets. According to Reuters, the all-cash offer for Fox’s movie and TV studios and other assets including the X-Men franchise opens a war with Walt Disney. Disney had already offered $52 billion in stock for the acquisition. Traditional media companies continue to try and combine distribution as a means of competing with Netflix and Google.
