Spider-Man Joint Helps Raise Money and Awareness For Extremely Rare Disease

This Spider-Man joint helped save a kid’s life. Diprosopus is an extremely rare congenital disorder, also known as, ‘Craniofacial Duplication,’ and it causes parts of the face to be duplicated on the head. Cannabis is one of the only medicines used to treat the disorder because it helps prevent seizures. Untreated, victims of the disorder can have up to 300 seizures per day. The disease is so rare that there’s currently only one known case of a person living with Diprosopus, and his name is Tres Johnson. Tony Greenhand has been known to twist up some wicked J’s, but this project was his favorite to date. The Spider-Man smokable took over a month for him to complete, and it was auctioned off to raise money for Tres and bring awareness to his situation. “A lot of people don’t understand how expensive cannabis is as a medicine, due to the negative laws that surround it,” explains Greenhand, “So in states like where [Tres] is from, it was almost impossible to keep him alive…now, he lives a healthy life.”
