The Maryland Democratic primary for governor is a toss-up between the two top candidates. According to a new poll, former NAACP President and CEO Ben Jealous is surging. The poll was commissioned by Maryland Together We Rise, a pro-Jealous independent expenditure campaign. BuzzFeed reports that the poll was conducted by Brilliant Corners Research & Strategies from May 22–27. The poll surveyed 600 likely voters in the primary.
