In February 2018, Brendan Fraser openly discussed for the first time an incident of sexual harassment he experienced in 2003. Fraser revealed to GQ magazine that he was groped by former Hollywood Foreign Press Association president Philip Berk. UpRoxx reports that since the news broke, Berk has acknowledged, including in a written apology, that he and Fraser had some sort of interaction. The HFPA also proposed to Fraser that they issue a joint statement.
