Maharashtra's Pune police arrests 5 activists in connection with the Bhima-Koregaon violence

Maharashtra's Pune police has arrested five activists, including Rona Wilson, an activist and Jawaharlal Nehru University alumnus, in connection with the Bhima-Koregaon violence which rocked the state late December last year. According to the police, all arrested activists have maoists link..wherein the police have spotted a financial trail between the naxals and these 'naxal sympathisers' before the Elgar Parishad that was held in the month od December last year itself. While Wilson was picked up from Delhi, Dalit activist Sudhir Dhawale was arrested in Mumbai. Activists Shoma Sen, Mahesh Raut, and lawyer Surendra Gadling were arrested from Nagpur.
