World Bank asks Pak not to pursue water dispute with India at ICA

The World Bank has asked Pakistan to stop pursuing the Kishanganga dam dispute in the International Court of Arbitration
The World Bank supported India’s offer of appointing a “neutral expert” to resolve the issue
World Bank president Jim Yong Kim had last week advised Pakistan government to not take the matter to the ICA
In 2016, the bank had even picked a justice, a rector and the WB president to appoint a chairman of the court to resolve the dispute
Pakistan had opposed the construction of Kishanganga dam , considering it a violation of a World Bank-mediated treaty
