Seaham Kerry the koala is back in good health several weeks after her restorative eye surgery, and is bellowing her good mornings at the Port Stephens Koalas Sanctuary in New South Wales.In this video posted on June 5, she can be heard bellowing and grunting loudly while her carer wishes her good morning.Seaham Kerry, a “dear old lady,” was found wandering in circles in a horse paddock with bad ulceration in her eyes. She underwent surgery to remove the scarring in her eyes and had been in recovery since May 7.Port Stephens Koalas reported on May 20 that although she still had some scarring remaining, she would be ready to be released into the wild soon.
