Fred has been signed by Manchester United in a deal worth around £48m from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk allowing Jose Mourinho to bolster the midfield following the retirement of Michael Carrick and the expiry of Fellaini's contract.

Fred is a very intriguing player, who has his weaknesses, but there's a real tempo and energy to his play and I think that's going to help United when breaking teams down
