Why are Floppy Cables Twisted? [Byte Size] | Nostalgia Nerd

Its the age old question. Why, oh why, is there a twist in the floppy disk drive ribbon cable? Ever since I opened up my first PC Ive looked that that twist and thought. that seems out of place. But the reason behind it is ually based in pure common sense, and maybe an over engineered original solution, perhaps. We look at the floppy drive twisted cable, along with the cable select protocol of IDE cables.\r
