Heavy rains in Tolaga Bay, New Zealand, caused the Uawa River rise rapidly from midnight on Monday, June 4, resulting in heavy flooding across the region.In this video, local resident Lydia Edginton has captured the floodwaters along Tauwhareparae Road while driving her tractor. She told Storyful she suffered property damage and lost stock, but her family was lucky to have escaped unscathed as their house is on a hill.Others in the area were not so lucky, with local news reporting one family was airlifted off the roof of their home on Monday morning.
